12/03/2009 - End of the Cup-hopes

Defeated by the current number one team in Hungary, Diamonds are out of the race for the Hungarian Cup. The clash with the Danube Crocodiles took place in the sports-court of Felsőgöd, with almost a hundred spectators cheering for the home team. The play was quite well balanced, a battle of equal forces, but somehow, the Crocodiles were a bit better in critical situations. So the final result of the semi-final was Diamonds X3M Team - Dunai Krokodilok SE 3-6 (1-3,2-3,0-0).

 

21/02/2009 - Diamonds are the champions! It is time to concentrate on the Cup!

This afternoon, Diamonds have defeated the Lizards of Veszprém [8-16 (4-6, 2-4, 2-6)]. As the team is now leading by 12 points and there are only 5 games left from the season in the 2nd league - WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!! All of our players took part of this succes, so we are proud of everyone. After the long journey back to Budapest, there is only one day for celebration and relaxation, as we have to prepare for the clash with the Danube Crocodiles which is due on the 27th of February in Felsőgöd. Diamonds are playing for the cup-final!

 

22/01/2009 - Diamonds through to the semi-finals of the Hungarian Cup

Diamonds shown again, that the team deservs a place among the best teams of Hungary. On last Sunday, Diamonds have defeated the Cannibals of Szolnok [13-11 (3-3,5-2,5-6)], deciding the clash with a stunning 2nd period, and with strong defense in stressful minutes of successive power-play situations of the last period. The semi-final is due on the weekend of 28 February / 1 March against the Danube Crocodiles. They are unbeaten in the 1st League, but Diamonds heve defeated them on a friendly game (10-5 on the 10th of January)...

 

02/12/2008 - Still unbeaten

Diamonds left the court as winners on both matches of the previous weekend. On Saturday, the team defeated the Lizards of Veszprém [16-5 (7-1,6-0,3-4)] at home, playing almost perfectly in the first two periods, but terribly in the last one. This means that Diamonds are on the top of the table (16 points from 8 games), followed by the U21 team of Ares HC (10/8) in the 2nd league. On Sunday, the team (without two key-players) visited the Black Horses of Ajka in Veszprém, and after playing out of form in the firs 20 minutes, Diamonds made a comeback, and played well in the rest of the game. The tame went through into the quarter-finals with a final score of 8-13 (3-1,2-6,3-6). The next game is due only in January 2009.

 

26/11/2008 - First press release in English!

Diamonds X3M Team is a well known Hungarian floorball team currently leading the 2nd league. Hopes are high to remain unbeaten in the season on the last matches of 2008.  On Saturday, Diamonds are playing at home (in Kartal, NE from Budapest) against VESC Lizards Fitt SE from 9:30AM. Having no time to rest, the last game of the year (which is not a friendly) is due on Sunday in Veszprém, when the Diamonds can shine as visitors against the Black Horses of Ajka from 10:30AM - probably making their way into the quarter-finals of the Hungarian Cup.
